2017 Malbec Cabernet
Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon seem to be natural blending partners. Historically, they have been blended in a variety of ways across the Bordeaux region. In this Malbec-dominated blend of 80%-20%, the nose is surprisingly Cab-forward, with typical notes of black currant, graphite, tobacco and a touch of butterscotch. The Malbec reveals itself on the palette with flavours of plum and cherry, and contributes its softer tannins. With a good overall balance and a lengthy finish, this wine is ready to drink now, and is expected to further soften and increase in depth over the next few years.
