Summerland is proving to be a terroir sweet spot for the Malbec variety, with unique wines which stylistically resemble the Cahors region’s Malbecs rather than the Argentinian ones. The 2015 vintage brings forth another proof of this great match of grape and place. Our 2015 Malbec shows nice bottle development, evolving into a complex and elegant wine with good aging capability. The earthy aromas and savoury, spicy flavours are now more accentuated than when young, yet with enough fruit as support. Judicious use of oak serves as a background for this balanced, lengthy wine.
